The high profile meeting between the Tollywood delegation and the government of Telangana led by chief minister Revanth Reddy has gotten underway. This is one of the crucial meetings between the two entities to sort out the standing issues.
According to the latest reports that are coming in live from the meeting, the Telangana government has set a series of proposals in front of the Tollywood delegation.
The principal factor put forward by the Telangana government is Tollywood’s support in the anti-drug campaign and also the caste census programme.
The government has called for increased endorsement of Tollywood, heroes and heroines regarding the anti-drug campaign that has been taken up by the government. Apparently, Tollywood is requested to put forward more video footage of heroes and heroines, advising the public to stay away from drugs. These videos must be played prior to the screening.
Along with that Tollywood, celebrities are also prompted to endorse the caste census survey that is going on in Telangana.
The all important ticket price hikes and benefit shows, it is being primarily established that the government has categorically denied the possibility of any exceptions in this regard. The cinematography minister, Venkat Reddy confirmed the same recently in the assembly and the government is sticking to it.
The government is also proposing to enforce a new cess fee on ticket prices to generate revenue for government programs.
