Usually, we see opposition parties warning the ruling parties of serious consequences a year or so before the election. They tend to warn the ruling parties by saying they will form the government next and subsequently teach them a lesson later.
However, in the case of YSR Congress, this party has already started to issue serious threats to the ruling NDA alliance, despite the fact that it has been barely 7 months since the completion of polls.
Speaking at a public meeting today, Roja warned the NDA alliance of serious consequences. “The India government is threatening YCP supporters with police cases and jail terms. I’m challenging them now. File as many cases as you want. Jail is as long as you want. But it is Jagan who will become the CM again, and once our government is formed, we will return your actions with interest.”
Roja’s exact words were “Maa government Malli vachaaka meeku vaddi tho Saha ichestham.”
While Roja’s emotion can be understood, her statement lakhs desired logical credence. It has been barely seven months since the election and Roja is already warning the ruling alliance.
After having won 2019 election from Nagari by around 2700 votes, Roja lost the seat by 45,000+ votes this year. Subsequently, NDA supporters are commenting that Roja must first focus on securing her MLA seat and then speak about forming the government next term. “If Roja is warning us about coming to power next term, the what can’t we do to YCP for next 4 and half years while we have absolute power” they’re commenting.
Not just Roja, but even Jagan himself has been in the delusion of coming to power next time and giving it back to the NDA leaders. Blaming the EVMs and presuming that they will come to power next term are proving to be the main detractors of the YCP camp in AP.
