As reported earlier today, the Nampalli Court took up the highly controversial Sandhya theatre case, which has Allu Arjun as one of the main accused. The case came to a hearing today and Allu Arjun partook in the same virtually.
Allu Arjun’s lawyer had filed for regular bail at the Nampalli Court, which earlier sentenced the actor to 14 days judicial remand at the Chanchalguda prison.
However, the bail petition hearing was quickly urgent to December 30, after the public prosecutor, who is the opposing counsel in this case sought more time to file the counter against the bail petition.
This case will now come to a hearing on December 30, and this will dictate the way the legal proceedings in the case will shape up.
Notably, the Telangana High Court had earlier granted interim bail for Allu Arjun and this has a validity of four weeks. The focus of Allu Arjun’s legal team will now be to secure regular bail, or even better, quash the charges.
It must also be noted that the Tollywood delegation met the Telangana government representatives yesterday. Following the same chief minister Revanth Reddy started he holds no personal grudges against Allu Arjun. When asked about this matter, the cinematography Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy said “all issues are closed”. Will that reflect in the court hearing of this case now? We will know on Monday.
