Pawan Kalyan Stands By Govt Officials, A Real Hero

The blatant physical assault of MPDO Jawahar Babu in Galiveedu village of Annamayya district in Andhra Pradesh has become a sensational news in political circles after the NDA government took a serious note of the issue immediately after the incident came to light. Reportedly, YSRCP MPP Padmavathi’s son and legal cell president Sudharshan Reddy and his associates have brutally manhandled Jawahar Babu for refusing to hand over the keys of MPP chamber in the absence of MPP.

The outrageous incident sparked widespread outrage all over the state. Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan immediately condemned the attack and vowed that stringent action would be taken against the perpetrators. He accused the YSRCP of resorting to unruly acts and attacking government officials without fear of law.

Pawan Kalyan went all the way to Kadapa today and visited Jawahar Babu in hospital just a while ago. He warned the YSR Congress party supporters that the NDA government won’t spare such anti-social elements. He reminded that the party faced a humiliating defeat and secured only 11 seats just because of the arrogance displayed by its supporters.

Pawan criticised that YCP supporters are accustomed to attack government officers in the last five years and seriously warned that such acts won’t be tolerated under the present regime. He stated that the accused Sudharshan Reddy has attacked several officers in the past in the same village. He assured complete support to Jawahar Babu and his family and also directed the hospital authorities to give him quality medical treatment.

The manner in which Pawan Kalyan took no time to react on this issue and his personal visit to the injured officer the very next day of the incident is really appreciable because it will assure the government servants to render their duties without any fear and opposition. Pawan’s assurance to stand by upright government servants is a welcome move.

As Pawan Kalyan is a subordinate to the Chief Minister, his immediate response on such sensitive issues would send a strong signal and also avoid any recurrence.

Meanwhile, Home Minister Anitha spoke with Annamayya district SP Vasana Vidhya Sagar Naidu to gather details about the incident. The SP informed her that preliminary investigations indicate the involvement of 20 individuals associated with the YSRCP. Several suspects have already been arrested and further action is contemplated.
