There has been an undeniable and significant exodus from the YSR Congress ecosystem in Andhra Pradesh following their crushing defeat in the previous election. Several senior leaders have left the party, seeking refuge with the NDA alliance.
In line with this trend, reports have emerged that former Speaker of the AP Assembly, Tammineni Sitaram, is leaving YSR Congress and joining Janasena. This speculation arose after Tammineni distanced himself from the YSRCP following the elections, leading many to believe he was looking for alternative political options.
However, after a long period of silence, Tammineni recently resurfaced in the public eye and was asked by the media about his potential move to JanaSena. He responded dismissively to the question.
“Em peekalekapoina aa Pawan Kalyan party loki ellanu,” the former Speaker said. He strongly denied any intention of joining JanaSena and clarified, “I have been away from politics for the past few weeks as I’ve been attending to my ailing son, who required hospital treatment. I am not distancing myself from YCP, and I will never join JanaSena.”
Tammineni also compared this speculation to the rumors that Botsa Satyanarayana would join JanaSena, which he claimed would never happen.
However, Janasena supporters on social media were equally vocal about his statement. “Tammineni went from being a Speaker to losing as an MLA. Even if he wanted to join our party, Pawan Kalyan would never accept him. A failed MLA speaking about our party with a 100% strike rate doesn’t make any sense,” commented a disappointed JSP supporter.
