Rare Sight: KTR Strengthens Revanth In Assembly

The Telangana assembly sessions have the reputation of progressing on a super fierce and aggressive note. We almost always see the BRS and Congress groups, quarrel with each other in the house.

But for a change today’s assembly session, which is primarily driven on the mourning of the passing of former Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh progressed in a respectful manner.

In a rare sight, we could see Chief minister Revanth Reddy and BRS working president, KTR sharing a mutual stand. This is regarding the proposal that was put in motion by Revanth Reddy in the house.

The chief minister proposed the accordance of Bharat Ratna award for late Manmohan Singh and this was quickly and unanimously supported by BRS.

“As the honourable chief minister said, late Manmohan Singh is a proud exponent of the country. BRS unconditionally supports the proposal of Bharat Ratna for Manmohan Singh.” KTR said as he respectfully sided with Revanth Reddy on this matter.

CM Revanth Reddy further proposed to have Manmohan Singh’s statue in the Financial District area of Hyderabad and this was also largely approved in the house today.

It is extremely rare to see Revanth Reddy and KTR on the same page, but this happened today in the context of Bharat Ratna proposal for Manmohan Singh. The two firebrand leaders showed compassion when it matters the most.
