Both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana governments have been making concerted efforts to tackle various burning social issues that need immediate restraint with zero tolerance. While Revanth Reddy is firm on ending the drug menace, his counterpart Chandrababu Naidu has decided to crack a strong whip against irresponsible and obnoxious behaviour on social media platforms.
In order to raise strong awareness on both these important issues that have been impacting the lives of several people in Telugu states, both governments have decided to take the messages deep into the public through various methods. One of the them is by wide publicity by celebrities and prominent personalities from various fields.
It is a known fact that Revanth Reddy exhorted Tollywood celebs to mandatorily raise awareness on drug abuse before the release of their films and already stars like Prabhas, NTR and Allu Arjun obliged his orders and appealed to the public to not fall prey for this harmful habit and also to seek the assistance of government for rehabilitation. The videos released by these stars received good traction on social media platforms.
On the other side, Andhra Pradesh government has set a precedent by cracking down on hateful and abusive behaviour on social media. In the last few months, there has been a considerable tone down in inflammatory content from social media users in Telugu states. Besides this, the government has also taken steps to curb fake news on social media.
Several actors like Nikhil Siddhartha, Sree Leela, Meenakshi, and Sesh have joined the cause and released video bytes urging the people to make social media a better place by not resorting to fake news and indulging in abusive behaviour. These videos and other promotional campaigns like hoardings and ads have been getting good response.
These welcome initiatives are turning out to be mutually beneficial to both Telugu states as they succeeded in creating strong impact and awareness in the public.
