The tragic stampede in Tirupati during the Vaikuntha Ekadashi celebrations has left the community saddened. The government is addressing the crisis and announced ex-gratia for the deceased. The announcement has been made that ₹25 lakh will be given to the families of the deceased.
Revenue Minister Anagani Satyaprasad, along with other state ministers, including Home Minister Anita, and Anam Ramanayana Reddy, visited the affected individuals at Ruya and SWIMS hospitals.
They assured better medical services for the injured and offered their condolences to the families of the deceased. The ministers also emphasized that the government is committed to a thorough investigation to identify any lapses or conspiracies that may have led to the tragedy.
The stampede occurred at token distribution centers set up to facilitate the Vaikuntha Dwara Darshan. Home Minister Anita has promised strict action against those found responsible, highlighting the government’s resolve to prevent such incidents in the future.
