The Pithapuram constituency holds a very special place in the heart of Pawan Kalyan. This assembly segment nurtured Pawan and sent him to the assembly after a disappointing performance in the 2019 election.
Incidentally, Pawan admittedly wanted to earmark his first Sankranthi festival season as Pithapuram MLA with grand celebrations. In his interaction with Pithapuram locals today, Pawan revealed that he had the plan to hold the Sankranthi celebrations here in a grand manner.
“Pithapuram is a special place for me and the people here hold a special place in my heart. I wanted to celebrate this Sankranthi season here in a grand manner. But in view of the Tirupati tragedy which claimed many lives, I have decided to downsize the celebrations. I will still celebrate the festival here but in a toned down manner.” Pawan said.
Well, Pawan would’ve hoped to celebrate the festival season this year in Pithapuram in the presence of his followers. Considering that this is his first festival here in the capacity of the deputy chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, certain events might’ve been planned. But with the Tirupati tragedy, things have altered drastically.
