In the aftermath of the tragic Tirupati stampede, officials arranged a special Vaikuntha Dwara Darshan for injured victims. As per the directives of CM Chandrababu Naidu, the officials facilitated the darshan.
This special darshan experience was provided to 52 individuals, including the victims and their family members. The victims expressed gratitude for arranging the darshan to all of them, before they return home.
Meanwhile, treatment is ongoing for 16 others injured in the stampede. Three of them are still in critical condition, say the reports. The government has announced compensation of ₹2 lakh each for the 33 victims who have been discharged and is taking responsibility for their safe return home.
In a heartbreaking development, the bodies of those who lost their lives in the stampede have been handed over to their families after postmortem examinations.
The TTD Governing Council is scheduled to convene an emergency meeting in Tirumala on Friday to address the aftermath of the incident.
