Pawan Kalyan’s Palle Panduga A Big Success

Published by

Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan announced that he would like to minimise the Sankranti celebrations planned in his native Pithapuram constituency due to the loss of lives in the Tirupati Stampede.

However, he did not dampen the celebration spirit in his constituency. He participated in the Palle Panduga-Panchayati Varotsavalu programme organized in Pithapuram.

Pawan received Purna Kumbha Swagatham at the venue and the public, including his fans, raised slogans rendering a warm welcome to him.

He virtually inaugurated 12,500 Gokulams across the state. These structures were built under the Employment Guarantee Scheme. Gokulams or cow sheds help dairy farmers in managing with the animals and are a source of financial empowerment.

Kakinada district already has 292 cow sheds and more than 1,000 would be built in the next year.

While participating in the inauguration programme, the Deputy CM said that the entire official machinery should own up responsibility if there is any mishappening. “It is for the same reason I tendered my apology to the public. Leadership is all about collective responsibility,” he said.

A small mistake had shaken the entire system. The CM, I and a lot of other ministers were forced to go to Tirupati which again had been a burden on the police personnel in the district as they had to provide us security. Officials and the public should also feel the responsibility and accountability.

In what can be termed as an admonition, he said youth and his fans to behave in an appropriate manner with personal discretion. It will not be good if you raise slogans of a movie when I reach a place to console victims of a tragedy, he pointed out.

At the same time, he also urged TTD chairman BR Naidu and JEO Venkaiah Chowdary also to apologise to the public. They should not shy away from asking for forgiveness, he said.

The public are not able to completely immerse themselves in the Sankranti celebrations because of the faults committed the officials and police personnel, that resulted in a tragic incident at the pilgrim town of Tirumala, he opined.

The Deputy CM enjoyed being audience to the various cultural programmes involving Haridasulu, Gangireddulu, Sodi Attamma, etc. performed at the event. Later, he engaged in a banter with the artistes.
