The President of Janasena party, Pawan Kalyan has always been advocating the need to redefine politics and bring a positive reinforcement in the existing model. In order to attain this mission, Pawan is occasionally taking disciplinary measures on his party leaders when they are crossing the line.
In this context, Pawan Kalyan suspended one of his party leaders who allegedly put up Janasena flags and banners at Kodi Pandem rings during the Sankranthi season. This incident happened in the Penamaluru constituency of the Godavari region.
Going into the story, local JSP leader Muppa Gopalakrishna(Raju) is an active leader in the party. In tune with the famous Kodi Pandem tradition which correlates to the Sankranthi season, he took a step ahead and erected JSP flags and flexes at one such famous Kodi Pandem spots in his constituency.
As soon as the photos and videos of Janasena flags and banners at Kodi Pandem rings went viral on social media, there were negative comments and satires on the sheer contrast in the principles of the party and the actual practices that its leaders are following. The issue quickly gained traction, and it went on to reach the deputy chief minister himself.
Shortly after, JSP took disciplinary action and suspended the mentioned JSP leader effective immediately. This came as a rude shock to the local leadership as a ground level leader lost his connection with the party over setting up of JSP flags.
While it is a fact that several local leaders set up their party flags at Kodi Pandem rings as a show of support to their party, Pawan was having none of this. However, this led to further comments in the local ecosystem that JSP hierarchy must have first instructed its leaders not to indulge in such activities, before taking such stern action after the incident.
