Roja Claims Jagan Bought More Investments To AP Than Babu

One of the many fundamental complaints about former Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy was his reluctance to invite investments to the state. On top of his sluggish approach to attracting new investments, the previous government’s policy of reverse tendering pushed companies further away from the state.

However, former Cabinet Minister and close associate of Jagan, ex-MLA Roja, had a different perspective. She argued that Jagan had brought more investments to Andhra Pradesh than Chandrababu Naidu.

A day after the AP delegation, led by Chandrababu and Lokesh, returned from Davos, Roja spoke with the media and expressed her view that Jagan was ahead of Babu in terms of attracting investments.

Roja pointed out that during Jagan’s tenure as CM, the AP government secured investments worth ₹1.25 lakh crore during the Davos forum. She also highlighted that the Vizag Investors Summit attracted another ₹13.5 lakh crore in Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs).

She claimed that Chandrababu and Lokesh did little in Davos other than spend public money without securing a single investment. “Even the recent inauguration event, which had Chandrababu and Modi as guests, was initially conceptualized by Jagan,” she added.

It seems that the YCP is attempting to downplay the significance of Babu and Lokesh’s trip to Davos. The responsibility now lies with the NDA government to counter this narrative—not just through words, but through action by materializing the Google, TCS, and Cognizant deals centered around Amaravati and Vizag.
