Kethireddy’s Analysis: Why Vijay Sai Reddy Left YCP

YS Jaganmohan Reddy and his most trusted associate, Vijay Sai Reddy, who have been virtually inseparable all these years, are no longer together—at least not in the public eye. Shockingly, Vijay Sai announced that he is retiring from politics and leaving the YCP for good.

There have been varied reactions to this matter, with some YCP leaders feeling that it was a premature decision for Vijay Sai to leave the party at such a crucial time. In this context, former YSR Congress MLA Kethireddy Venkatrami Reddy shared his own perspective on the issue.

“It is a fact that Vijay Sai was with Jagan right from the very beginning. He was handling affairs in Delhi and kept things running smoothly. However, after our party came to power, Vijay Sai was given significant authority over the Uttarandhra and Vizag regions. This is when things started to go awry. There were open complaints about his operations, and his involvement in the Kakinada SEZ is also well-known,” Kethireddy remarked, showing little concern over Vijay Sai’s departure.

“It has become common to use the CBI and ED to pressurize politicians these days. Going by this trend, it’s easy to assume that Vijay Sai left the party out of fear of the CBI and ED. Anyway, he’s out of the party now and wants to pursue agriculture, so let’s not discuss him further.”

It’s important to note that Vijay Sai is the primary accused in almost every single CBI and ED case filed against Jagan in the first place. Therefore, any investigative action against Vijay Sai could ultimately spell trouble for Jagan as well. This is why the YSR Congress cannot take Vijay Sai’s departure lightly.
