Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu is widely accredited for bringing in several visionary reforms in terms of governmental administration. In accordance with this rich reputation of the senior CM, he has envisioned something now, which was never seen before in the Indian administration model.
The government of Andhra Pradesh is introducing WhatsApp governance model tomorrow and it will be fully in effect henceforth. This is the first time in India that a state government is offering administrative services through WhatsApp and as expected, Babu is pioneering this initiative now.
In the first leg of the implementation of this WhatsApp administration initiative, the services related to endowments, energy, APSRTC, revenue, Anna Canteen, AP CM Relief Fund, municipal services, and others are to be offered through the same.
The government is introducing 161 services through this WhatsApp governance model starting today. The idea behind the same is to cut down on the need for the common public to physically visit government offices.
Once this comes to effect fully, the government intends to equate almost all of its services through WhatsApp. The pilot model that is starting tomorrow will determine the implementation and ideation of the same.
