Kethireddy’s Analysis: A Tough Pill for Jagan Reddy

One of the few analytical and sensible leaders in the YSR Congress, Kethireddy Venkatrami Reddy is no stranger to media attention. After his shocking defeat in the Dharmavaram constituency during the elections, he has been maintaining a more prominent presence in front of the media.

This time, Kethireddy interacted with a Telugu media channel, offering an insightful analysis of the recent events in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

The dynamic ex-MLA stated that there were several miscalculations made by YSR Congress, including the abuse of Chandrababu’s family in the Assembly, the ill-timed arrest of Babu, and the attacks on TDP offices, all of which collectively backfired. He was very straightforward in his assessment of his party’s defeat.

More importantly, this young leader provided a solid evaluation of the key reasons behind the historic downfall of YSR Congress. He specifically pointed out that the personal attacks on Chandrababu and his family were outrightly rejected by the people of Andhra Pradesh.

When discussing Telangana politics, the former MLA from Dharmavaram mentioned that Revanth Reddy is a true fighter, someone who stood against KCR and achieved his goal of becoming the CM. He highlighted that KCR had tried to suppress many Telangana leaders who opposed him, but Revanth Reddy proved to be a tough competitor and fought fiercely against KCR to become the CM.

Kethireddy described Revanth Reddy as a warrior-like politician and praised him for his strong mindset.

On one hand, this ex-YCP MLA scrutinized his own party’s shortcomings, and on the other, he heaped praises on Revanth Reddy. Neither of these actions would likely be welcomed by Jagan Reddy, who is very particular about the public statements made by his party leaders.

It’s important to note that this analysis didn’t come from just any random YCP leader. Venkatrami Reddy is one of Jagan’s close associates and is considered one of the more dynamic leaders in the party. But at the end of the day, it is a positive development that at least one leader in the party is not out of touch and is aligned with the political reality in the Telugu states.
