YS Jagan went against the election code as he toured Guntur Mirchi Yard a couple of days back, knowing full well that the code is in place here and he’d be going against it by holding a public meeting. Consequently, the police department didn’t provide him with the security as this trip is against the preset code.
However, YCP is now strategically using this incident to put up a larger conspiracy that Jagan’s life is at risk and he needs central security allocations.
YCP MP Midhun Reddy wrote to PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah on this matter and asked for added security for Jagan.
The letter read, “The recent visit to the Guntur Mirchi Market Yard exposed the alarming lack of security presence, despite prior intimation to the concerned, officials. This negligence raises serious questions about the intent behind such a lapse, especially considering the fact that the Former CM has Z+ category protection by the central agencies.
This is not an isolated incident but appears to be a part of a larger conspiracy orchestrated by the coalition government to curtail his movement even at the cost of putting his life at risk, the letter written by the YCP MP reads.”
It is further alleged that the bullet proof car that was allocated for Jagan has also deteriorated. This was strategically used to drive the narrative about the security for Jagan and spin controversy on this matter.
The party then asked the centre to enhance the security cover for Jagan through central agencies.
However, it must also be noted that chief minister Chandrababu had already exposed this plan by clearly explaining that Jagan went against the election code and in that case, it is not the responsibility of the police department to safeguard him. If Jagan is protected by the police, while committing an unlawful offence today, then he might do the same tomorrow, he pointed.
At the end of it, we have to see how the central government responds to this situation now.
