YSRCP leader YS Jagan’s statement, “Corporator Ki Ekkuva, MLA Ki Thakkuva,” mocking Andhra Pradesh Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan, is facing criticism from both the public and opposition leaders. While Pawan Kalyan has yet to respond to Jagan’s comments, Nadendla Manohar, Janasena leader and the State Minister of Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, has strongly countered the former CM.
Nadendla claimed, “Jagan has a criminal mind, and that’s why he targeted Pawan Kalyan. What was the need to attack Pawan? We can mock Jagan too, saying he’s Kodi Kathiki Ekkuva, Goddaliki Thakkuva. Everyone knows how Jagan’s uncle was brutally murdered. Is this the manner in which one should speak? In a democracy, people should speak sensibly. If Jagan thinks that targeting someone disrespectfully will win him votes, then the results of yesterday’s election should be a lesson for him.’”
The Janasena Party’s Political Affairs Committee Chairman continued to blast Jagan, saying, “Jagan is a ‘work-from-Bengaluru’ MLA. Legislators usually return to their constituencies after assembly sessions to work for the welfare of their people. But Jagan doesn’t even attend the assembly sessions and frequently travels to Bengaluru. The people made him an MLA; he should respect that and stand with them.”
Meanwhile, TDP leader and AP IT Minister Nara Lokesh also countered Jagan’s comments on Pawan Kalyan. “What is your majority, and what is the majority of the honorable Deputy CM? If arrogance is dressed in pants and a shirt, that’s Jagan. The people of Andhra Pradesh have decided not to make Jagan the leader of the opposition. Jagan should introspect. Even his mother and sister don’t believe him,” said Nara Lokesh.
