Telangana working president KTR in his first response on Dubbaka by-election defeat said, this is an alert to TRS party and leaders. He conceded the party’s defeat in Dubbak Assembly by election. He said the result is not expected and it is a wake up call for the party and its leaders. Soon after the BJP’s victory is declared, minister KTR called on the media and made a formal statement.
“Right from 2014, we have won many elections and lost a few. But our party chief kept saying that we should never get carried away by victories or get deterred by defeats. I thank all the 60,000 odd voters who have voted for us,” said KTR.
Adding, “Yes, the result which we expected was not in our favour. Certainly we will analyse what went wrong and work accordingly to win the people’s trust,” said KTR.
TRS candidate Sujatha has lost to BJP’s Raghunandan Rao by 1118 votes.
