A Lengthy & Powerful Speech By Revanth Reddy

Currently, the Telangana Legislative Assembly is holding its budget sessions. In response to the discussion on the Governor’s address and the motion of thanks, Revanth Reddy gave a lengthy speech on Saturday. Initially, he answered the criticisms from BRS leaders against his government and issued a challenge to the opposition to debate any topic of their choice. He accused the BRS government of sinking the state into a mountain of debt during its ten years in power. Revanth Reddy also stated that he is ready to discuss what each party has done for the state. He specifically challenged KCR to come forward for a discussion.

Revanth then addressed the criticism from BRS regarding his frequent visits to Delhi, mentioning that he had traveled to the capital 32 times in the last 15 months. He even jokingly remarked that he would visit Delhi 300 times if necessary. Revanth clarified that his trips to Delhi were not for leisure but for meeting with central government officials to bring in funds and schemes for the state. He stated that he had met Prime Minister Narendra Modi three times and emphasized that Modi, as the country’s leader, is responsible for all states. He also reminded everyone that it is the responsibility of the states to implement the decisions made by the central government and questioned what was wrong with that approach.

During his Delhi trips, Revanth mentioned that he had met not only Prime Minister Modi but also every cabinet minister in the central government. He further pointed out that he had even met Telangana’s central ministers, Kishan Reddy and Bandi Sanjay. Revanth also provided details of what he had brought back to the state from his meetings with central ministers. While BJP is in power at the center, Revanth noted that Prime Minister Modi serves as the leader for the entire nation. Politically, he may oppose the BJP, but when it comes to development, he made it clear that he does not believe in criticizing the central government or distancing himself from it. Revanth confidently asserted that his approach was, without a doubt, the correct one.
