CM Revanth’s Furious Remarks on Tirumala Darshan Restrictions

For the last few weeks, there have been several concerns that were being raised by Telangana politicians regarding the prominence of Telangana public representatives’ letters for Darshan at the holy Tirumala shrine. The likes of Konda Surekha and BJP’s Raghunandan Rao have stated that the letters issued by MLAs and MPs from Telangana are not being honoured in Tirumala.

The TTD then announced a reform on this front and communicated that certain days of a week will be designated for recommendation letters from Telangana public representatives. The issue was assured to be sorted out.

Now it is the turn of chief minister Revanth Reddy himself to react on this matter, and he had a strong choice of words.

“Tirumala Darshanam ki vaallanu (AP) adukkovadam enduku?” A calm looked but internally disgruntled Revanth Reddy said in front of the media at a public last night. He appeared to be anguished by the complains from Telangana representatives at the Tirumala shrine.

“If they have TTD, then we also have YTD, which is an ever strengthening board that is designated for the people of Telangana. Don’t we have the renowned Bhadrachalam Rama temple? Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple? And also the numerous Maha Shiva temples. There’s no need for us to go and plead with them” Revanth Redy stated.

This issue had originated back in the day itself as there have been complaints for the last few years right from the YCP tenure about Telangana repetitive not getting adequate prominence in Tirumala. Now, the NDA government vowed to sort it out and allocate as much support. But that didn’t stop a fiery Revanth Reddy from going all out with his vocal attack.
