A sorrowful event has occurred in the family of former Andhra Pradesh CM Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. His paternal aunt, Sushilamma, passed away on Wednesday night due to health complications. At the age of 85, Sushilamma had been battling health issues related to old age for some time. She had been receiving treatment at a hospital in Pulivendula for an extended period. Just two months ago, Jagan visited the hospital to meet her.
Sushilamma was the wife of Anand Reddy, the elder brother of Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy. Anand Reddy had passed away earlier. Now, Sushilamma’s death has added to the family’s grief. Her funeral is likely to take place in Pulivendula on Thursday, and Jagan is expected to attend. Jagan had recently visited Pulivendula directly from Bengaluru to pay his respects to a family member who passed away. During this visit, he also met with farmers who had suffered losses due to untimely rains.
In recent times, there have been a series of deaths in Jagan’s extended family. It is known that Jagan’s brother, Abhishek Reddy, passed away at the end of last year, which deeply saddened the Y.S. family. Recently, Jagan’s uncle, YSR Congress Parliamentary Party leader, Y.V. Subba Reddy’s mother, Pichchamma, also passed away. Jagan had recently visited Mederametla near Ongole in Prakasam district to pay his respects to Pichchamma’s mortal remains.
