The Telangana political spectrum is heating up with the ongoing Assembly session. Several crucial topics, including party defections, and possible by elections have come to discussion in the recent session, and this has created a new discussion of its own.
While BRS is fighting the defection of 10 of its MLAs to Congress and has even approached the Supreme Court on this matter, CM Revanth Reddy reacted on this in the Assembly, and he had a very casual response.
“No matter what happens, there will be no by-elections in Telangana. This is my assurance to MLAs from different parties. You need not worry at all because there will be no more by election in the state. Even if they themselves(BRS MLAs) resign, there will be no such thing as immediate election now.” Revanth Reddy said.
This come and casual statement from Revanth Reddy immediately triggered KTR and the BRS working president gave it back to the chief minister.
“Our CM often forgets that he is the CM. He likes to role play, most of the time. Today he decided that he is the Supreme Court! He decided to pass a judgement about an ongoing case of MLA defections on the floor of the assembly.
The parliamentary conventions and rules of the house is to refrain from passing any comments on an ongoing judicial matter. But again, this is Revanth Reddy – he is above all rules. Clearly, he thinks that he is also above the Hon’ble Supreme Court.
BRS will definitely take it up with the honourable courts as to how the Chief Minister undermined their authority in the open House. Not the first time but a second time after apologising for his gaffe last year. Meanwhile, I request Revanth Reddy to behave like the CM. Or at least pretend to care!” KTR tweeted.
At a time when BRS is fighting a virtually uphill battle, Revanth calmly unstinged their sails by his calm and composed statement. This appears to have seriously triggered KTR and the same can be understood from his fiery tweet against Revanth.
