Why March Is Most Important Month In AP Politics

Usually, there are very interesting and peculiar patterns in the emerging political system if we observe closely. One such pattern has come into discussion, and it has to do with the historical significance of the month of March in Andhra Pradesh politics.

If we observe closely enough, it can be understood that all the leading regional parties (relevant ones) in Andhra Pradesh were formed in the same month.

Incidentally, all three of the current leading parties—namely Telugu Desam, YSR Congress, and Janasena—were formed in the month of March itself.

YSR Congress was formed on March 12, back in 2011, and Janasena was formed on March 14, 2014. Then we have the senior player in the group, Telugu Desam, which was formed on March 29, 1982.

Of these three parties, only Telugu Desam was able to storm to power in its very first electoral campaign. It is also one of the longest-serving regional parties, not just in the Telugu states but across India.

Nevertheless, it must be noted that the month of March holds the most political significance in Andhra Pradesh history. It is a strange coincidence that all three of the current relevant parties were formed in the same month, albeit at different timelines.
