Don’t Buy Those 400 Acres: KTR’s Warning on HCU Lands

The deforestation drive initiated by the government of Telangana in the Kanche Gachibowli area of Hyderabad has sparked a significant political debate in the state. All three major parties—Congress, BRS, and BJP—are now fully focused on this issue.

As we reported earlier, the Supreme Court has ordered an immediate halt to the deforestation drive and stated that the Chief Secretary will be held responsible if even one more tree is cut in the specified area.

In this context, BRS working president KTR has taken full advantage of the situation and issued a stern warning. He advised private entities not to buy the 400 acres being cleared in the Kanche Gachibowli area through the deforestation drive.

“We are warning you three years in advance—don’t blame us later! We will come back to power in three years, and when we do, Kanche Gachibowli will become the largest eco-park in Telangana. Every inch of that 400-acre land will be reclaimed and preserved as an eco-park,” KTR said today.

KTR boldly stated that the Telangana government will reclaim all 400 acres and develop an eco-park immediately after the BRS returns to power. His message was clear and forceful.

While Chief Minister Revanth Reddy views this matter as a step towards facilitating urbanization, opposition leader KTR asserts that the next BRS government will reclaim the entire land in the following term. As a result, this sensitive deforestation issue has become a political point of contention.
