After Jagan, KTR Starts Singing the Same Tune!

Barely six months after losing the Andhra Pradesh election in a historically one-sided manner, YS Jagan started the narrative that he would become the CM again and threatened serious action against TDP cadres. Even to this day, whenever Jagan steps out, he often talks about coming back to power.

The principal complaint against this narrative pushed by Jagan is that he still hasn’t come to terms with the 2024 defeat, nor has he assessed the reasons behind it. Political observers are commenting that Jagan is caught in the mindset that he will become the CM again without any clarity on why he lost in 2024 or a game plan for the 2029 election.

While the people of Andhra Pradesh have already had to witness this narrative by Jagan, it is now the turn of BRS working president and former Telangana IT Minister KTR to sing the same tune.

In his media conference yesterday, KTR said he and his BRS would come to power again in three years. “Once BRS is back in power and KCR Garu becomes the chief minister, we will take back the 400 acres of HCU land and convert it into an eco-park. So, I am warning all private companies now to avoid buying these lands. Because once we are back, we will reclaim and repurpose them.”

First, it was Jagan who started saying he would avenge TDP in the next term after he becomes the chief minister. On the other hand, KTR also seems to have adopted this strategy, as he is warning companies against buying these controversial HCU lands. While the threats made by Jagan and KTR are different, their approach to coming back to power is identical.
