The abuse of power by the previous YSR Congress government was so reckless that party leaders had the audacity to attack TDP offices and even Chandrababu Naidu’s residence in Undavalli.
Incidentally, the attack on the TDP office in Gannavaram led to the arrest of Vallabhaneni Vamsi. He is now paying the price for instigating his followers to attack the TDP office and is currently in judicial remand. He is being made to repent for his actions.
Now that the TDP office attack case has been addressed, the stage is set for appropriate legal action in another audacious crime committed by the YCP group — this time, the attack on Chandrababu Naidu’s house.
Back in 2021, Pedana MLA and Jagan’s close aide, Jogi Ramesh, created public unrest by allegedly instigating an attack on Naidu’s residence in Undavalli. Reportedly, Ramesh’s men were captured in CCTV footage violently attacking the property with stones and other destructive materials.
Fast forward to the present, the case has now been handed over to the AP CID, and investigations have begun. The CID has issued notices to Jogi Ramesh, instructing him to appear before them for questioning on April 11. This will mark the second round of investigation into the matter, following the one conducted by the Mangalagiri DSP back in August of last year.
Ramesh had approached the High Court seeking anticipatory bail, but the request was denied. It now appears that he is next in line to face consequences for his alleged antisocial behavior during the YCP tenure.
Several TDP members have urged authorities to treat the case of the attack on Naidu’s house with the seriousness it deserves, warning that any leniency could send the wrong message to the public. In response, the CID has taken a step forward by summoning Ramesh for investigation.
It remains to be seen whether Jogi Ramesh will meet the same fate as Vallabhaneni Vamsi in this matter.
