Just before the 2024 election, Kapu community veteran Mudragada Padmanabham Reddy had a horrible miscalculation on the political equilibrium in Andhra Pradesh. He announced unconditional support to Jagan and even made wild comments against Pawan Kalyan and Chandrababu.
But I said, turned out Jagan himself was absolutely bamboozled by the public mandate, while Mudragada calculated the public pulse so very badly. This was when everyone thought Mudragada would rightly retire from politics after this horrendous campaign, he is doing nothing as such.
The latest news is that Jagan has appointed Mudragada Padmanabham as his part’s PAC member. This is nothing more than a nominated party level post that is given honorarily. However, this turned out to be enough to please the Kali veteran.
This morning, Mudragada Padmanabham ended up writing a letter of gratitude to Jagan over this formality post. He went on to term Jagan as the “oxygen” for the poor and needy.
“The next time you(Jagan) become the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, I sincerely hope no one will be able to look at the CM chair for years to come. I will fight to the best of my capabilities to make it happen.” Mudragada wrote.
While many political analysts are opening that Jagan himself is in delusional mood about miraculously coming back to power in 2029 without doing the right ground work, it appears that Mudragada is also singing the same tune. People are saying better maturity and calculation is needed from a senior like Mudragada who had been in politics for many decades now.
