BJP MLA’s Misstep Puts Pressure on Naidu!

The CM Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan, have been consistently advocating for people-friendly governance. They are doing everything in their power to uphold this vision and remain in the public’s good books.

However, occasional incidents continue to disrupt the state’s harmony. One such incident involves Jammalamadugu BJP MLA Adinarayana Reddy, who was previously with the TDP.

According to a report by regional media, Adinarayana Reddy has been pressuring Ultratech Cement Industries in the region to award all transport contracts to him or his followers. Although the company initially obliged by awarding some contracts to his associates, he allegedly demanded complete control over all contracts related to raw material supply and cement dispatch.

When the company refused his demands, his supporters reportedly blocked supply routes, halting the delivery of limestone and fly ash—key materials for cement production. This blockade led to the suspension of operations at the Chilamkur unit, while the Yerraguntla unit also faces an imminent shutdown.

A mini-bus was allegedly used to physically obstruct the movement of trucks. His followers were deployed to prevent vehicle movement, resulting in a prolonged disruption of operations.

A police case has been filed against Adinarayana Reddy and Jagadishwar Reddy for obstructing company operations. In reality, this issue has been brewing for several months, with numerous debates surrounding it. The matter has even reached the Chief Minister’s Office, and Chandrababu Naidu has been briefed on the developments.

Though the controversy involves a BJP MLA and the party’s high command, the ultimate political burden falls on Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, as he is the face of the government. Naidu will need to exercise caution and draw upon his vast experience to resolve the matter amicably.

Adinarayana Reddy has long been considered a troublesome figure in the Jammalamadugu area. However, Chandrababu had previously managed to reprimand and caution him effectively. A similar intervention is now required from the Chief Minister to address the situation before it escalates further.
