Retaliation : Indian Missiles Blast Pak Bunkers at LoC

Published by

As India geared up to celebrate Diwali, the festival of lights, Pakistan resorted to violation of Ceasefire at Keran sector at the Line of Control (LoC). Pakistan launched a direct attack killing six Indian civilians and five Soldiers on Friday (Nov 13, 2020). Total eleven people, including six civilians, four Indian Army soldiers and a Border Security Force sub inspector were killed in an unprovoked ceasefire violation by Pakistan. Indian Army said Pakistan used mortars and other weapons to  deliberately target civilian areas – Dawar (Bandipora district), Keran (Kupwara district), Uri (Baramulla district), Naugam (Anantnag in J&K).

Meanwhile, India has given a strong counter to Pakistan the same night. In Retaliatory firing, India launched missiles and rockets which have hit Pak bunkers directly. Pakistani ammunition and fuel storage buildings and launch pads (for terrorists to attempt infiltration across LoC) were hit. Pakistan bunkers at Uri, Naugaon, Tangdhar, Keran and Gurez in Baramullah, Kupwara and Bandipora districts of Jammu and Kashmir were trashed.

Indian Army released multiple videos showing the destruction of Pakistan camps. Indian Army claimed that 8 Pakistan soldiers were killed and 12 were injured in this counter-attack by Indian Army. Indian Army said Pakistan fired at India at the LoC to divert attention from the infiltration attempt as some terrorists tried to cross into India from the Keran sector. Indian Army said its troops have successfully stopped the infiltration in forward posts.
