A whopping Rs 100 crore fine has been slapped on former MP and TDP leader JC Diwakar Reddy. AP Mining Department has imposed Rs 100 crore fine for allegedly violating norms and following illegal practices in the name of Trishul Cement Factory.
The Mining Department in its notice said that failing to pay the fine would result in the confiscating properties of JC Diwakar Reddy. It is alleged that over 14 lakh metric tonnes of illegal mining took place in Yadiki mandal’s Konuppalapadu by JC Diwakar Reddy.
The Mining Department officials have been probing the matter for the past few days following serious allegations over illegal mining by JC’s company. In this issue, the mining department levied the huge fine.
Meanwhile, JC Diwakar Reddy and his family members are yet to respond to the allegations and the fine imposed by AP Mining department.
TDP leaders have been alleging AP state government of resorting to revenge politics. Earlier in June this year, JC Diwakar Reddy’s own brother JC Prabhakar Reddy and Prahakar’s son JC Asmith Reddy were charged in BS-III scam by the Road Transport department of Anantapur.
Former Labour Minister K Atchannaidu was also arrested by the ACB officials in connection with an alleged ESI scam.
