Settlers Voted For TRS And Saved Them In Hyderabad

The Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) made a clean sweep in the Kukatpally Circle in GHMC polls. TRS candidates in all the six divisions of Kukatpally Circle registered victory as corporators.

Kukatpally is among the prime areas where Andhra people had settled in Hyderabad and a majority of them are believed to be against the TRS, in view of its pro-Telangana stand and divisive politics adopted by the party.

TRS president and Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao is against Seemandhra parties and Andhra leaders but strangely, his party candidates who contested from the area registered victory.

TRS candidate from Hydernagar division, Narne Srinivas, who won with a majority of 2,010 votes against his rival BJP candidate thanked the Andhra settlers for his victory. He said that Andhra settlers played a major role in ensuring his win.

Srinivas’ supporters and TRS functionaries got immersed in celebrations following his victory. Speaking to the mediapersons after he was declared the winner, he thanked all those who voted placing faith in him.

He promised to focus on all the civic problems that came to his notice and try to resolve them. He said that people in Hydernagar voted for him cutting setting aside religious, caste and regional affiliations.

The ruling TRS party made a clean sweep in the Kukatpally circle. TRS candidates Narsimha Yadav (Old Bowenpally-119), Avula Ravindar Reddy (Balanagar-120), Jupalli Satyanarayana Kukatpally-121), Madhavaram Roja (Vivekananda Nagar-122), Dodla Venkatesh Goud (Alwyn colony-124) won in Kukatpally circle. The TRS party indulged in the celebrations with the party emerging victorious in all the six divisions under Kukatpally circle.

In Miyapur ward which is a part of Chandanagar Circle, TRS candidate Uppalapati Sreekanth registered victory. Kukatpally and its surrounding areas are known to be inhabited by software professionals migrating from different places in neighbouring Andhra Pradesh.
