TRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha received a shock in the GHMC polls with the party candidate from Gandhinagar, for which she is the in-charge, suffering a defeat in the hands of the rival candidate.
TRS candidate from Gandhinagar Mutha Padma Naresh was defeated by BJP candidate Pavani and this has come as a shock. Not just in this place, TRS candidates suffered defeat in many other divisions for which prominent leaders of the party acted as in-charges.
TRS candidates from Adikmet (minister Srinivas Goud in-charge) and RK Puram (minister Sabita Indra Reddy in-charge) also faced rout in the hands of their rivals.
The defeat of TRS candidate Padma Naresh is more discussed in view of speculation that K. Kavitha would be made a minister in the near future. If she cannot handle just a division in the city, will she able to tackle issues cropping up while acting as the head of an entire department?
