Telangana CM KCR has announced his complete support to Bharat Bandh, a bandh call given by farmers across the country on December 8, in protest against the Centre’s farm bills.
Supporting the farmers protest, CM KCR said TRS supports the bandh and asked party leaders, activists and workers to participate in the bandh. KCR called farmers’ protest as justifiable.
Stating that the three agricultural bills introduced by the Union Government are against the interests of farmers, KCR noted that TRS had opposed the bills in the Parliament. KCR said that farmers are protesting against the Centre as the bills are not revoked. He demanded the Centre to abrogate the Agricultural Bills with immediate effect.
With the increasing gap between TRS and BJP and their ongoing political feud, it looks like KCR is all set to go against the Modi government. Recently, when PM Modi visited Hyderabad to visit the Bharat Biotech to check the progress of Covid-19 vaccine, PMO has reportedly denied permission to CM KCR to receive him against the protocol.
BJP’s central leadership has rallied against KCR in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation election. In fact, BJP had given a rude shock to the TRS by reducing its number substantially. This has irked CM KCR as he now wants to take revenge against the BJP. And farmers protest, Bharat Bandh looks like a good opportunity for CM KCR.
So, Hyderabad and Telangana are likely to come to a halt on December 8. Whereas on contrary, Andhra Pradesh has supported the Farm Bills of the Centre and supported the bills in the Parliament.
