As we know, the Chief Minister KCR, in his last press meet, told that he shall talk and finalize on lockdown extension on 5 May once again. The inside news suggest that CM is planning to extend the lockdown in the state till May 21st. However, the final word on this shall be known only after the conclusion of the cabinet meeting on Tuesday.
KCR has already held a crucial meeting with higher officials and discussed thoroughly on lockdown and its pros and cons. Talking about liquor shops opening, it is believed that KCR might wait in doing so and the cabinet may soon announce the decision on reopening liquor shops. On 7 May, the lockdown in-state will come to an end as per the Telangana government. Tomorrow, it is expected to finalize the next move on the lockdown and relaxations queries by KCR in a press meet.
On the other hand, the Union Ministry of Home Affairs on Friday announced the extension of lockdown by two more weeks from May 3 to May 17. During KCR’s meeting with higher authorities, it is said that the CM has also directed officials to get ready with a clear-cut report on the current state of the agriculture sector so that the Government would plan with a policy framework for the agriculture sector. Apart from this, the discussions were held on the State finances which have been hit due to lockdown with tax collections reduction.
