Bhongir MP Komatireddy Venkatreddy is trying severely for the Telangana-PCC chief post at all cost. On Thursday, T’Congress in-charge Manickam Tagore held a meeting with leaders at Gandhi Bhavan and during this Komatireddy personally met Manickam and discussed about TPCC job.
After that Komatireddy spoke to the media and made interesting comments that he doesn’t want CM and ministry, he wants to lead TPCC and would work towards strengthening the party in Telangana. “I did ask for TPCC last but I wasn’t given the opportunity and I’m hopeful to get this time,” said Komatireddy.
Adding, “As soon as I’m made TPCC chief, I would go on a walkathon (Paadayatra) all over Telangana to reveal the failures of the TRS government to the people. Currently the party is in life and death situation and under these circumstances I can bring out the party from crisis situation and with all my efforts can also make the party form government in the next Assembly elections.”
Apparently Komatireddy wants to repeat late YS Rajasekhar Reddy’s feat when the latter was the opposition leader in erstwhile AP during 1999-2004 and went on a walkathon and brought the Congress party to power.
Taking pot-shots at other leaders who are also in race for the TPCC chief post, Komatireddy said, “I don’t have a single case against me neither I’m involved in any land grabbing case. So there should be no thought in giving me the TPCC job,” said Komatireddy.
These comments have become a huge debate in T’Congress and it shows how desperate Komatireddy is.
