Here is the much-awaited good news for the realtors who have been waiting for the registrations with bated breath. The registrations of non-agricultural properties, which were stalled in the state since September, will now be resumed from tomorrow.
The Telangana state government has passed the said orders following directions from the High Court. CM KCR is said to have directed the Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar to start the registration of non-agricultural properties beginning tomorrow.
Earlier today, the Telangana High Court once again made it clear that the government can continue with the registrations of non-agricultural lands, properties in the state following the old method. The court has also permitted for the advance slot bookings through computer-aided registrations.
In addition to the slot booking, the court made it mandatory to have Property Tax Identification Number (PTIN) for the registrations. The court directed the government to issue the PTINs in two days to those who don’t have them yet and asked them to register the documents after providing respective PTINs.
The Adovcate General representing the Telangana government informed the High Court that the government will not seek information related to Aadhar, caste and details of family members during the registrations.
Meanwhile, the HC continued the stay over the Dharani portal following several concerns from various people. As another five petitions were filed against the Dharani portal today, the HC asked the government to file the counter. The AG has sought time till Dec 16th for the government to file the counters. With this, the court has postponed the next hearing to 16th Dec.
