Prime Minister Narendra Modi has addressed the nation as India has launched the biggest Covid-19 vaccine drive in the world. In his speech Modi stated that 2020 was a challenging year and got emotional. He almost had tears in his eyes recalling some unfortunate incidents during the lockdown. Modi added that though lockdown was tough, he had to take a stern decision.

During his speech, PM Modi cited great Telugu writer Gurajada Appa Rao’s words. “Sontha Labham Kontha Manukoni Poruguvadiki Thodupadavoy…. Deshamante Matti Kaduoy… Deshamante Manushuloy…” said Modi which explained that people should help one another which is the need of the hour.

Then PM Modi hailed the efforts of scientists who have worked around the clock to bring the covid-19 vaccine. “The world has seen India’s capability in bringing out the vaccine and today we have launched the biggest drive. The world is looking at us and very soon many companies too will come up with vaccines,” said Modi.

Concluding Modi added that the vaccine will be made available at an affordable price and appealed to the people not to leave any rumours regarding the vaccine.
