The second-rung leadership in TDP is not quite active like before. This is what troubling the party in these tested times. After the 2019 results, the younger generation leaders of the party are not seen much. Other than in Parliament where Rammohan Naidu had delivered good speech on Budget 2020, he is also not seen in public glare much these days.
In the state politics, TDP is still steered by the senior leaders who are making tad bore speeches and press meets. The recent press conferences were all handled by Sr TDP leaders like Ayyanna Patrudu, Devineni Uma, Atchannaidu, Varla Ramaiah and others are becoming routine and repetitive. The political comments on ruling party and comments on Jagan are becoming too common and some comments turns to be so funny. As their speeches losing steam, people are losing interest on TDP which always has encouraged young blood.
Whereas young leaders are not active in TDP like before. Devineni Avinash has switched over to YCP. And many others became silent. Nara Lokesh has been locked in Hyderabad and not seen in AP in these Corona times. Especially after such a tragedy struck in Vizag where Gas Leak killed 11 people and affected thousands, TDP’s younger generation was not seen at Vizag. It’s high time, the second-rung leaders of the party should take reigns into their hand and steer the party. Or else, TDP would be into more trouble.
When YSRCP leaders are always on attacking mode, these TDP senior leaders are failing to counter them at any point. Firstly, TDP President Chandrababu should take initiative and give importance to young blood.
Few months ago, the young and new-age leaders of TDP have all gathered and met party’s national general secretary Nara Lokesh. Right from Ram Mohan Naidu to Paritala Sreeram, the list is huge. Interestingly, there is good women representation as well. Among these young leaders, a handful of women are also present who would like to take the party forward. Now all these young leaders are taking rest keeping party future at risk.
