The Government of India got inspired from Telanagana’s Rythu Bandhu scheme and Mission Bhageeratha scheme in the past and introduced Kisaan Samman Yojana and Jal Jeevan Mission respectively. In this year’s budget, they introduced another new scheme called Gareeb Kalyan Lakshmi, which got inspired from Telangana’s Kalyana Lakshmi scheme.
K. Chandrashekhar Rao-led government introduced Kalyana Lakshmi scheme a few years back to give a financial aid to the poor families for the marriages of their daughters. Union Finance Minister Niramala Sitharaman the other day announced a similar scheme to support the daughters of poor families. Not only the union government but also many state governments are also implementing the schemes introduced by KCR in Telangana.
While presenting the budget, Nirmala Sitharaman said that this year’s budget is laid on six pillars, which are Health and Wellbeing, Infrastructure, Inclusive development, Research and development, Development of human capital, Minimum government and Maximum governance. A significant importance is given to the services of healthcare department.
