The privatisation of Vizag steel plant is turning into a storm in AP. The main opposition TDP has taken up the issue and is hell bent against privatisation. The YSRCP and BJP are not daring to comment anything as it is too early. Amidst this Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan came out and added that he and his party are not in support of privatisation.
Regarding the same, Pawan said he would be meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi very soon. “Jana Sena opposes privatising Vizag steel plant. Due to this, employment of the locals will be affected. I’m planning to meet PM Modi and will try to explain the consequences of privatising Vizag steel plant,” said Pawan.
Then shifting the blame to previous UPA government, the Jana Sena chief said, it was in ex-PM Manmohan Singh’s tenure, the investments from the steel plant started withdrawing. Nevertheless, it is the time to protect Vizag steel plant from getting privatised.
So Pawan will be flying to New Delhi soon and meet PM Modi. Pawan’s Delhi tours did not yield any result so far and what will be the outcome of this tour if it really happens?
