Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao spit fire at the opposition parties, including the BJP and Congress. Addressing a public meeting in Halia, he said that some Congress leaders were speaking whatever they wanted without any decency and that the BJP leaders like “new beggars” (kotha bicchagallu) having no sense of when to do what.
“It is not that we do not know how to speak like you. If we really do something, you will not be surviving.” He warned the BJP and Congress leaders to hold their tongue. “We know how to tackle people if they cross the limits. You will be trampled under our feet,” he asserted.
“People have given us mandate. We are not here due to people in Delhi. The Congress does not have the right to utter the word Telangana. Who is responsible for farmers’ suicides? Is not the Congress responsible for the pathetic stage in Telangana? Congress leaders committed the sin of dividing the state into three parts,” he fumed.
He reminded that former chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy said that Telangana will not be given at least a penny. “Then did any Congress leader raise his voice? You are saying that we are building projects for kickbacks, then was Nagarjunasagar built for commissions? Has any leader spoken about fluoride problem in Nalgonda? In the Congress rule, fertilisers and pesticides were not distributed to farmers properly. Our state contributes the highest amount of paddy to FCI. Will you protest against the implementation of Rythu Bandhu and Rythu Bima,” he asked.
