Telugu news daily Andhrajyothi has once again proved that it does some real investigation and brings out true stories. The TV news channel of the newspaper, ABN Andhrajyothi, broke the news of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s sister, Sharmila, likely to float a new political party just four days ahead of the D-day.
It was in the weekend comment by Radha Krishna, the channel’s editor, that Sharmila’s plans were revealed to the public. RK said that Sharmila was dissatisfied over not being given due recognition in the YSR Congress party launched by her brother Jagan Mohan Reddy. He also said that differences have cropped up between the brother and sister and that she was gearing up to launch her party in Telangana on February 9, 2021 and the same happened.
People waited anxiously to see if RK’s prediction would come true and yes, it did happen. On February 9, YSR loyalists attended a get together arranged by the former chief minister’s daughter at her Lotus Pond residence and there she she set the ball rolling for a new political party. She told the attendees of the meeting that she called them to take their opinions about her foray into active politics.
Some people posted memes that Jagan would face the real trouble now with dissent brewing in his own family.
Soon RK and ABN Andhrajyothi began trending on the social media. People began wondering how RK could forecast political happenings as the same happened in two other instances too. It was the same ABN Andhrajyothi that broke the news about sexual scandal of AP former Governor N.D. Tiwari in Raj Bhavan and the merger of Chiranjeevi’s Praja Rajyam Party with the Grand Old Party of India, the Congress.
These breaking news snippets by ABN have increased the credibility of RK and taken it a notch higher in the media circles.
Meanwhile, TDP supporters were happy that trouble was brewing for Jagan even as state government advisor Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy tried to ward off allegations of differences between Jagan and Sharmila, as it would dent the CM’s image.
