After marking the wedding anniversary of late YSR by revealing her plans of floating a new political outfit on Feburary 9, his daughter Sharmila is eyeing to take the proposal a step forward on April 10, the day when he kicked off his Praja Prasthanam padayatra from Chevella 18 years ago.
This walkathon paved the way to catapult the Congress to power in 2004 general elections.
There is talk that Sharmila would hold a public meeting and make formal announcement of her party on April 10 or launch her padayatra from the same place, Chevella.
The meetings planned with YSR loyalists basing on the districts in united Andhra Pradesh would also end by April and this is giving strength to the speculation.
In the meanwhile, Sharmila would interact with more YSR loyalists and know about the ground realities to prepare the agenda of the party and also decide on the colours of the flag.
The meetings with her supporters from districts neighbouring Hyderabad would be held at Lotus Pond while for the farther districts, she herself would go to the place and meet the activists.
In Adilabad, she would hold the meeting on February 21. The meeting with YSR sympathisers from Nalgonda was held on Feburary 9.
It is learnt that Sharmila’s husband Brother Anil Kumar’s birthday was celebrated in a grand manner at Lotus Pond on Wednesday. YSR sympathisers and Christian leaders greeted him on the occasion.
At the same time, there is talk that Sharmila might not be able to garner the support of many people in Telangana as her father, late YSR, was anti-Telangana and always wanted to keep Andhra Pradesh united. Even her brother and Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy had stalled his party, YCP activities, in Telangana.
