For the last few weeks, Janasena Party chief Pawan Kalyan has been deeply upset with the BJP. He openly condemned Telangana BJP’s cold treatment to him and his party. On the other hand, Janasena’s supporters in Andhra Pradesh have been urging Pawan to end the alliance with the BJP since they lost heavily in the recently concluded local body elections for joining hands with the saffron party.
Now, in an unexpected development, AP BJP chief Somu Veerraju stated during a BJP-Janasena meeting ahead of the upcoming by-election in Tirupati that Pawan will be the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh after their alliance wins the 2024 general elections.
Somu went on to say that PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah admire Pawan Kalyan and that Modi had once told him to treat Pawan with utmost respect. Somu further revealed that it’s Modi’s wish to see Pawan Kalyan as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and urged the BJP and Janasena cadres to take Modi’s wish in a true spirit and work together for BJP’s victory in the Tirupati by-election.
Well, Somu Veerraju’s revelations surely thrilled a section of Pawan fans. On the other hand, there’s also another section that suspects the timing and intent of his comments as the by-election is around the corner and given Pawan’s resentment over BJP’s humiliating treatment.
