Post the Dubbaka and GHMC elections, the Telangana BJP was in full josh but it settled with graduate MLC elections. Yet the T-BJP did not lose confidence and wanted to go for the Nagarjunasagar by-election with the same impetus.
On Sunday the T-BJP has finalised Ravi Kumar candidature for the by-election and he would be filing his nomination on Tuesday. But the real trouble started from here for the BJP. Already former incharge of Nagarjunasagar constituency Niveditha Reddy has filed nomination and now one more BJP leader is getting ready to file nomination.
Another BJP leader by name Kadari Anjaiah Yadav is also going to file nomination. Anjaiah anticipated the ticket however he got snubbed and the ticket went to Ravi Kumar. With two rebels from BJP, the votes for sure will split and it would be tough for the main candidate.
We hear that the Telangana BJP is trying to reach out to Niveditha Reddy and Anjaiah Yadav. Today is the last day for nomination and April 3rd is the last day for withdrawing nomination. BJP has three days time to convince the rebels to leave the poll race and clear the way for Ravi Kumar.
Nagarjunasagar polling will be held on April 17th and the result will be declared on May 2nd.
