Around a couple of months ago, ABN news channel and ABN Andhra Jyothi newspaper first broke the news about Sharmila’s political party launch in Telangana. Everyone laughed off the news as a mere speculation initially and even other news channels and newspapers, including Sharmila’s home media house Sakshi, didn’t take it seriously.
But, vindicating ABN’s exclusive scoop, Sharmila did pull off a major surprise by announcing that she will soon launch her party in Telangana. The fact that Sakshi didn’t break this news and also didn’t bother to give enough coverage to Sharmila added fuel to the rumours of rift between Sharmila and her brother and AP CM YS Jagan.
On the other hand, Jagan and Sakshi’s arch rival ABN seems to have fully owned up Sharmila’s political stint and is giving her a full coverage. While Sakshi ignored Sharmila’s last night’s Sankalpa Sabha in Khammam, ABN gave it a prominent coverage in its print and electronic media.
On the other hand, Sharmila yesterday announced that she will launch her party on July 8th, on the occasion of her father YS Rajasekhara Reddy’s anniversary. Whether Jagan and his mouthpiece Sakshi will counter ABN by giving Sharmila a decent coverage in the coming days remains to be seen.
