Raavana Rajyam Better Than Rajanna Rajyam: RRR

Published by

YCP rebel MP Raghurama Krishnam Raju lambasted Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy yet again for making Rajanna Rajyam synonymous with ‘appula rajyam’ and ‘cheap liquor rajyam’. He wondered how could Jagan proudly claim that it was a beautiful kingdom. In such a kingdom, the significance of Rama Rajayam has increased much more, he said and advised Jagan’s sister Sharmila to think of setting up Rama Rajyam in Telangana than repeating the same Rajanna Rajyam which was there in neighbouring Andhra Pradesh. In the same breath, he said that even Raavana Rajyam is much better than Rajanna Rajyam.

However, he said that if the brother-sister duo meant YSR’s rule by saying Rajanna Rajyam, then they should remember that YSR regime was not so pathetic as that of Jagan. Better correct yourself, he suggested to Sharmila. Further, he praised YSR for his governance much similar to that in Rama Rajyam.

Raju spoke about several other issues at his Rachabanda programme.

On Polavaram project, RRR felt that the YCP government had done a big mistake by changing the contractor, as a result of which the cost escalated by Rs 1,750 crore. By going for reverse tendering in Polavaram project, the YCP government saved Rs 700 crore soon after coming to power but now, the cost jumped by Rs 1,750 crore, he pointed out.

At the same time, he said that people knew why Jagan was showing special interest in clearing the bills of Polavaram contractor even when they amounted to large sums while keeping the bills of petty contractors pending.

He suggested that Jagan should chage his strategy and stop deceiving people all the time as such a formula might not prove successful all the time. ‘Sontha labham konta manuko,” he said.

The MP fumed at Jagan for going ahead with his decision of conducting board examinations for Class X students even while second wave of Corona crisis was at its peak. Do you think you are a social reformer making exams mandatory for students putting their life at risk, he asked. In case of any deaths, if the student or his family members contract the virus, will you take up the responsibility, he questioned.

On Vijaysai Reddy’s tweet predicting the obliteration of TDP right on the birthday of the party president and former CM N. Chandrababu Naidu, RRR said that it smacked of indecency. If you do not like Naidu, keep your mouth shut but do not resort to such acts that would bring disrepute to the party, he suggested and advised Jagan Mohan Reddy to replace Vijayasai with some worthy candidate who can give respect to others and gain the same from the society.
