Telangana state government has announced a complete lockdown in the state for 10 days. CM KCR, who convened a cabinet meeting today, has approved the decision to impose a strict and full lockdown in the state owing to surge in Covid-19 cases. This is after Telangana state High Court directed the government to take strict measures and take a decision on the lockdown.
Starting from 12th May 10 AM, the state will enter into lockdown till 22nd May. The government has exempted the essential services. All activities and free movement is permitted between 6 AM to 10 AM.
Meanwhile, the cabinet has decided to call for global tenders to purchase the Covid-19 vaccine.
