TRS working president and IT minister K.T. Rama Rao received a request from a resident of Vizianagaram district in Andhra Pradesh seeking oxygen cylinders. Prasad Akula of Andhra Pradesh tweeted that the situation was bad in Vizianagaram district and asked for donation for 12 lt oxygen cans. Prasad also shared his mobile numbers on Twitter.
KTR forwarded the request to @MekapatiGoutham urging him to assist. This tweet evoked mixed responses from the netizens.
Some felt that AP politicians were more interested in cases and arrests rather than looking into the Corona crisis. The YCP government in Andhra Pradesh is more focused on hitting back at the detractors and rivals of party president and Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy than in ensuring smooth supply of oxygen and implementation of measures to check the spread of Covid, a few netizens felt.
It is surprising to know that a resident of Andhra Pradesh feels that the leader of neighbouring TRS can do more help to him than the politicians in his native state, political analysts observed.
Meanwhile, some other netizens took broadside at the Telangana government for not doing anything to check the number of Covid cases which were increasing in Hyderabad. They indirectly criticised KTR for trying to be a hero for people in other states while neglecting people of his own state.
A few others whose requests were addressed hailed KTR as God and thanked him for the timely help. They commended him and felt that Telangana was in safe hands as long as the TRS was in power.
Is anybody thinking the same in case of the YCP government?
